Attention to those who have Overstay in Malaysia

Surrender to Immigration is the ONLY Solution:

1. Bring the passport that you have used to come into Malaysia.

2. For those who have "lost" their passport, go get new Temporary Passport from your Embassy in Malaysia.

3. For "lost" passports and unable to proof with documents the actual date of entry into Malaysia, be prepared for higher fines and longer ban period of re-entry.

I found this website by accident
Sorry, you cannot make polis repot on this type of accidents.

Today is the 6th Jan. The deadline is just over. They might consider an  "amnesty extention".  Go to seek help from your country Embassy. IMI Malaysia may consider your case with the help of embassy officials.

Is there jail term even if you surrender?
Do you have to go to court?
There is no further news from IMI,  except that IMI has increase the ferocity in the hunt for illegals. Employers have been jailed nowadays together with the illegals they have employed.

Go  NOW  to your embassy. I expect a bigger man hunt in 1 1/2 months time.

SHAH ALAM: An employer was sentenced to one stroke of the rotan for hiring illegal workers in Selangor, says Immigration Department director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali..

He said that although the law provides for such punishment, it was never meted out in the state before.

Mustafa said the 46-year-old owner of a bakery in Subang Jaya was sentenced on Dec 12 to six months in jail and one stroke of the rotan for employing 15 illegal immigrants who did not have valid passes.

The offence under Section 55B of the Immigration Act 1959/63 provides for a fine of between RM10,000 and RM50,000 or a maximum one year in jail or both for each illegal immigrant employed.

A person who hires more than five illegal immigrants at the same time is also liable to jail time between six months and five years, and is subject to a maximum of six whippings of the rotan.
"With this first case, we hope it will serve as a deterrent to employers from hiring illegal foreign workers," Mustafar told the press after opening the state-level Immigration Day celebration here Thursday.

Mustafar also called on employers who have registered for the illegal foreign workers rehiring programme but have yet to complete the application process to come forward before the June 30 deadline.

"They can come to any Immigration office to complete the application process, including having their biometric verification done so that temporary work permits can be issued to their workers," he said.
He said so far, a total of 630,000 illegal foreign workers and 55,000 employers have been registered under the rehiring programme, conducted between February and December last year.

However, only 233,000 applications were complete for further processing while the rest still need further action from the employers.

"Employers who no longer need the services of their foreign workers can send them to the department to be deported to their respective countries," he said.

He added that the workers could also surrender themselves for deportation.

But take this first news with a pinch of salt (organic salt)

MyEG's foreign workers repatriation contract extended to June 30, shares at record high

January 05, 2018 20:34 pm +08

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 5): The government has extended My EG Services Bhd (MyEG)'s contract to undertake the voluntary repatriation of illegal foreign workers, to June 30.

The contract, which took effect on Oct 10 last year, had expired on Dec 31.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, MyEG said the extension from Jan 1 to June 30 was granted by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"The extension has no fixed value as it is dependent on the number of foreign workers successfully repatriated.

"Nonetheless, the board of directors is of the view that the extension is in the best interest of the company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of [the group] for financial year ending June 30, 2018," the group said.
MyEG shares hit a record high of RM2.48 today before closing at RM2.46. This is 86 sen or 54% higher than its closing price a year ago of RM1.60 on Jan 6, 2017.

Not confirm by the relevant authorities, just "news"

I will visit with immigration and find out.
NO.. NO.. NO..!!

You go to seek help from your Embassy First.
The Immigration may put you in detention camps first..!!
The Immigration has not back to back announced the above news in Public Media (newspapers)
The officers in the Immigration may not know what to do.

Have to go to MyEG centers to registered to be send back without hassle.
Ask your friends or just google.
