Attention to those who have Overstay in Malaysia

Surrender to Immigration is the ONLY Solution:

1. Bring the passport that you have used to come into Malaysia.

2. For those who have "lost" their passport, go get new Temporary Passport from your Embassy in Malaysia.

3. For "lost" passports and unable to proof with documents the actual date of entry into Malaysia, be prepared for higher fines and longer ban period of re-entry.

005 ? You are really fast learner plus cute. Nvm, we are around the same age.

IM 96(c)  have a lot of definitions and it is hard to say what actually your "infringement" is all about. It only appears in the "remarks" column in IMI Systems for the actual infringement.

BSI, this is the first time I see in this forum. Which entry point you have taken to enter JB?

Basically  IM.96(c)/BSI is a  "Denied Entry" stamp, a  NTL  (Not To Land Stamp).

To be able to assess how successful can your appeal can be will require more further personal details. If you do not want to diverge any further personal details in Public, if you deem fit to, you can email to me at

< bladirunner@gmail.com >

Can you provide further details on
1.  The last 4 trips into JB and for how long (duration).
2.  Have you ever use the  MACS  (Malaysian Automated Clearance System)?
3.  Any family members or relative who can sponsor your long term stay?
4.  The "exit stamp" in your passpost on Feb4.

Will this be useful if he surrenders?
When he surrenders to MY IMI, he has to give reasons why he has overstayed in Malaysia in writing. With solid evidence, he can produce the voice records,  BUT NOT THE FAKE  docs. Just say the agent took it back. And just inform the second agent (recommended by a high ranking police officer) that he has gone direct to MY IMI to check his status and was given the reply that there is no records of his passport in IMI Office.

But the second agent says he already gave the passport to the immigration officer. Do you think he’s lying? And if we tell him that we went to IMI will that scare him into returning our passport?
By the way i really appreciate your advice

Also, this agent is doing the work without legal procedures as my brother wants to avoid the ban. So do you think telling him we went directly to IMI will be useful as he has not legally provided the passport to IMI office anyway, infact he claims he gave it to an immigration officer who will be able to get an exit pass after waiving off the overstay. Is that possible?

2.  Have you ever use the  MACS  (Malaysian Automated Clearance System)? YES but since it is suspended we never renew
3.  Any family members or relative who can sponsor your long term stay?
No families  in malaysia
4.  The "exit stamp" in your passpost on Feb4.
This is a new passport , all the stamps are here.

Thank you Jeff , so smart! I cannot think of anything other than the 005

Can you please try to explain as clearly as you can on my following Qs

1.  For the 25 days overstay, did Immigration fine you? If yes, how much?
2.  If they did not fine you, why?
3.  On 6 Feb, any idea why they stamp the NTL in your last page without giving any reasons?. Page 64 is the last page in your passport right? I did not see page 65.
4.  On 6 Feb, were are any altercations or arguments with the immigration officers?
5.  On 27 Feb, were are any altercations or arguments with the immigration officers?
6.  What excuse did you give to immigration to come into Malaysia on 27 Feb?

Based on the 3 entry stamps in your this passport, you are deemed to have committed an act of "visa run" plus overstay. I do not understand why the officer inform you that you can try to come in again after 21 days. A  NTL  stamp in the last page is an indefinite BAN of coming into Malaysia.

Coming into Malaysia again within 30 days of the 6 Feb entails what it is called a  "Second Offense". Knowing you are not allowed to come in and you yet tried to come in, you are the first (in this forum) to have 2  NTL  stamps in the last page of your passport. This complicates a lot of matters.

I have given personal opinions that, to me, this your brother's case have arrows pointed to it as a possible victim of a scam.

My final advice is still go to your Embassy to seek help, or if he can get back his original passport without any fake stamps inside, go to Immigration to surrender asap.

Okau so our next step is to get back the passport. What do you suggest we do? My brother is scared to take any step as he may get caught.
Also, how long will the ban be for overstay of over 1 year and is it on all countries?
And is it certain if he surrender he will not be arrested?

The current BAN policy is 5 years from re-entry.
Malaysia is not a racist country. All the policies applies to all countries including Icelanders.

And is it certain if he surrender he will not be arrested?
Please read thru the past 106 pages of this thread and single users of immigration threads. Those who have overstayed and surrendered personally to MY IMI on my advices,  were never jailed. Many of them have even responded after they have reach home safely. Those countries include Nigeria, Somilia, Germany, Thailand, China, Pakistan, India, Nepal, France, Spain, Taiwan, The Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine...  what more do you want me to say or prove..!!

Can someone sponsor me a strip of Panadol ?  I am having a bad headache now..!!

I'm sorry for asking so many questions but we are just worried. And I did not mean if the ban is put for people of all origins. I meant will this ban be from entering all countries or only Malaysia?
