I am residing in Malaysia and working in IT industry for more than 20 years. Before I got married (17 years before), I had a Malaysian girl friend. Unfortunately we didn't get married because of family issues. I went back to India and got married to an Indian. Now my wife and my daughter are staying in Malaysia under dependent VISA. I am still under Employment VISA.

3 years before I found my ex-girl friend and we patch up again. She never get married. Unfortunately now she don't have anybody, mother father all pass away. Brothers migrated. Now she is our family friend. My wife knows her as she is my ex-girl friend.

Recently I wanted to get married to her. But I don't want to break my marriage either. I did propose to my ex-girl, initially she refuse. But later she got convinced because nobody with her now. I feel marriage is the right thing to do and take care of her as well.

Is there anyway I can marry her without disturbing my current marriage ? Does Malaysia allow this ? Somebody advice me to go and get married in Thailand and come back to Malaysia ans re-register the marriage. Is that legal ? I need advice.

Thanks in advance.

Marriage Tourism in Thailand also require a certificate from your embassy to certify that you are single. Hers also.
Do not listen to kopi cafe talk.
Even muslim marriages in Thailand is no longer recognized by the Malaysian Syariah Council if one spouse is a Malaysian Muslim. They have to re register again to make it legal.
