Hi. As far as I know inter-religious marriage is not allowed in Malaysia if one party is Muslim. The case is that one party is Muslim foreigner and the other is a non-Muslim Malaysian citizen and they get married in a free country which allows mixed marriage. Does Malaysia recognize such marriage? Would it be valid in Malaysia?

Thanks in advance

NO..

If the couple live in a muslim community the Religious Police will act if someone notify them.
The temporary solution is to live in purely non muslim areas.
If there are children born in the union, there will be problems registering the child under the father's name.
