I went to Bank Negara Malaysia last month to get my CCRIS report. My Standard Chartered & CIMB card under "Special Attention Account". I'm not sure what is the current outstanding balance for both cards because I'm now concentrating on my MBB credit card payment since my monthly salary is credited in to my MBB account. End of this month I have to pay RM1,270 to MBB as full settlement of my MBB credit card. The collection department of MBB asked me to pay RM 3270 instead of RM 5447 as full settlement for my credit card. I already paid them RM 2000.

I'm interested to enroll for Debt Management Programme (DMP) programme by AKPK. I am expecting the outstanding amount for my Standard Chartered & CIMB to be more than RM 10K but I hope it does not exceed than RM 20K.

My net salary after deduct EPF & SOCSO is about RM 1,700 and other commitment is PTPTN. I don't have car loan & housing loan. Can I apply for DMP programme under AKPK if "Special Attention Account" status appear in my CCRIS report?

Hi Wani,

You should have no problem applying for DMP under AKPK even though you are listed under CCRIS. However, your net disposable income (NDI) must be sufficient enough for you to service your monthly instalment under the DMP.

The least I know is that for every RM10,000 debt, minimum is RM50 monthly instalment under AKPK. Meaning to say if you owe a total of RM20,000, your monthly instalment is only RM100. However, you may be encouraged to pay more like RM150 or RM200 depending on your affordability.

Normally, when you are accepted into the DMP, the banks are not supposed to take any legal action for the first 3 months. THE DMP is only for those cases where the court case is not in the final stage. It seems to me that AKPK only accepts unsecured loan like credit cards, personal loan and study loan. Secured loan is like housing loan or even car loan.

Do you have any info about SAA (Special Attention Account)?

Because last month, I wanted to get a personal loan but when I went to the CTOS that time and found out that I have a record at CCRIS for my loan with AEON Credit Service. Yesterday, I have fully settled my debt with AEON. What else should I do?

Please help!

Yesterday, I have fully settled my debt with AEON.
Request AEON Credit to update their record so as not to appear in CCRIS or in CTOS as still outstanding.

What else I should do?
Go ahead apply the loan you wanted to..

My CCRIS report got "Special attention account" for housing loan (price RM150,000).
Now, I settled with bank the minimum amount and start to pay my monthly fee RM 1,000.
I want ask whether I can apply other house loan with join account? Or it become problem because of this Special attention account?
