Dear Sir/Madam,

I found your reference from one of the website when i was doing search on income tax in Malaysia.
I am Abdul Hussain from India and working in IT company. I had come to Malaysia on 4th February 2013 on social visit visa and got professional pass on 22nd Feb 2013 for one year. I would like to know if period during visit visa can be counted in order to be considered as resident. since I am planning to leave on 31st July 2013, it will be about 178 days. It is short of only 4 days. If social visit days are not counted then it is 160 days, I might have to come back within 14 days and stay for another 8 days in order to complete 182 days.
Could you please confirm whether my visit visa period can be considered for taxation purpose. I can postpone my travel back to India for another 4-5 days in order to complete 182 days in this case.
could you please mail me at abdulhussain@hotmail.com
