I just want to say this was an amazing book. It made me go out on the internet to find the court transcripts and read them completely. They were just as enlightening as this book was. Thomas Messereau was even more amazing in his defense of this case. I'm glad Michael Jackson had him as his lead counsel. Whatever you might think about Michael Jackson the one thing you discover from this book and the court transcripts is that this was about nothing but MONEY! It just proves the old saying that money is the root of all evil!. Thanks Aphrodite for setting this record straight. I knew back in 2005' when I watched this 3 ring circus play out by the news media that they weren't giving me the full story. I always know that for every story there is another side to that story. I don't always pay a lot of attention to what the news media reports today because I know they are about nothing but sensationalism, ratings, and money. It's just too back that they brainwashed many people (or as I call them: HATERS) to their side. I also want to thank Thomas Messereau for always sticking by Michael Jackson's side even after the trial. Even to this day he is still defending the man when he doesn't even have to. GREAT BOOK! WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!!

This book is a must read! Finally the truth, not misconceptions! Kudos to Aphrodite Jones for her investigative skills and for having the courage to admit she had been wrong in her initial opinion of MJ. I'm trying to understand one thing - why has Amazon deleted the Product Description and the Editorial Review from this book? It was there all summer, now it's gone. I chose to purchase this book based on the product description (and reviews). I feel it should still be listed, and since I had printed it out over the summer, I am going to type it here verbatum:
From the PUBLISHER: "He was the pop icon the media loved to hate. Tremendously wealthy, inarguably eccentric, and one of the most famous people in the world, Michael Jackson was the unenviable target of constant public humiliation. The media poked fun at his skin, his features, his sexuality, and his lifestyle.
Here, seasoned crime reporter Aphrodite Jones condemns the media for perpetuating hateful rumors and innuendoes, recounting just the sordid details, and reporting only the most despicable accusations and grisly charges made against Michael Jackson during his criminal trial. They had built a highly profitable industry around the superstar's "freaky life" and banked on his conviction. And, it turns out, they got it all wrong.
In their efforts to make money and win ratings, the media missed the truth. It wasn't until after the "Not Guilty" verdict that Jones had the insight and courage to admit her own unintentional role in the frenzy surrounding the shocking testimony, high drama, and countless celebrities in Michael Jackson's high-profile criminal trial. Here, she makes amends with what is not only a truthful, well-documented chronicle of the entire trial but a powerful indictment against the media for conspiring to distort, dehumanize, and destroy Michael Jackson. Jones argues convincingly that the case against Jackson amounted to nothing more than a media-made, tax-paid scandal, and she makes an impassioned call to action for the public-at-large to think critically, question the integrity, and demand the truth in "the news"."
"To anyone who wants to learn what happened in the Michael Jackson courtroom, this is the book to read." - Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr., Michael Jackson's lead counsel.
"The media anticipated the legal equivalent of a lynching...To spike ratings, they covered the man, not the evidence...The end result was the further blackballing of Michael Jackson's reputation." - Peter Shaplen, official media pool coordinator, the Michael Jackson trial.
"Aphrodite Jones provides the detail that we never got in the news media and vividly captures the phenomenon that was the Michael Jackson trial. It's a deeply researched, intense account that keeps you anxiously awaiting the next scene." - Roy Black, criminal defense attorney and NBC legal commentator.

This book is a must-read for every true Michael Jackson fan. That the State of California would spend millions of dollars on a trial of a completely innocent man is simply inexcusable. What you will read on these pages is shocking, revolting, and it makes you want to apologize for being a member of the human race. How this "family" (I use that term very loosely!) could turn around and basically blackmail Michael after all the kind and loving efforts he put forth on their behalf is beyond comprehension. How could so many people who worked for him and whom he trusted turn on him? Everyone who was salivating at the thought of Michael Jackson going to prison...well, I hope you all are remorseful and apologetic before you die.
If you are an MJ fan, you won't be able to put this book down. You will find yourself thanking Tom Mesereau as you turn the pages. Even if you are not a true fan, its an important read to set the record straight and vindicate Michael Jackson, once and for all. Sadly, of all the media that swarmed the trial proceedings, only two sources actually reported fairly and included important facts of testimony which clearly proved his accusers were nothing but blood-sucking leeches looking for ill-gotten gain. Michael Jackson's gentle, trusting nature became a bone to be gnawed and chewed almost to oblivion. Clearly, were it not for his noble character and strong faith in God, and his beloved children, he may not have lived as long as he did. What he suffered as a result of this ordeal had dire consequences to his overall health and mental state. I'm sure his pain and torment could easily be compared to post-traumatic stress syndrome, especially considering how sensitive he was.
Thank you, Aphrodite Jones, for your change of heart, and courage and determination to tell the truth. You did the right thing! In this out-of-control universe of media hysteria,I strongly urge everyone to be careful of what you listen to and read, and even more careful of what you perceive to be the truth! Don't be a sheep--you may willingly be led to slaughter!
**FOLLOW-UP NOTE: This book is no longer unavailable here at a realistic price. There are only three copies offered and who, other than a wealthy collector, has $1,000 to buy a book?
Ms. Jones, it is most obviously in demand--won't you consider printing more copies in order to get it out there to the curious public? Michael Jackson's name needs to be cleared once and for all. Michael is gone and we must speak the truth for him now. Your book is a very powerful voice in that attempt.
Amazon--please encourage the author to have more printed at a fair and equitable price. Thank you!

I love the Michael Jackson Conspiracy Book by Aphrodite Jones; Someone finally had to come forward to let people know about what a travesty it was against Michael and he's the real victim here. I'm so glad the author shows what really transpired about the people who were so greedy in his life. It needed to be written; there is too much negativity about this warm, giving, loving, kind and gentle musical genius. The truth is finally here! I'm so glad Ms. Jones had the insight and the courage to write this book - I would recommend to any Michael fan, and non-fans would be enlightened too! Thank you.

A must-read for anyone who cared about Michael Jackson. A very informative read for anyone else. A real eye-opener regarding what the so-called "news" shows will do for a buck, and how they were willing to exploit the famous and mislead the public to feed their own greed. Of particular shock was Jones's assertion that the media wanted Mr. Jackson to be convicted, regardless of guilt, because they had already made lucrative deals to report sensational stories of his incarceration. I'll never believe a word they say again.
Fairly well written. A little heavy on Jones's opinions of how other people felt. But mostly, just plain INTERESTING.
