Malaysian Examinations Council
Also known as the Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (MPM) in Malay term. MPM is a statutory body under the Ministry of Education and was established on February 1, 1989 under the Malaysian Examinations Council Act 1980. The council was assigned the functions of handling and conducting Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) and Malaysian University English Test (MUET). The STPM examination begins in 1982 replacing the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (STO) by Cambridge University. The council also formulates the school syllabus, setting the examination questions, conducting and supervising the examinations. Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE)
Founded in 1963 as a binational Fulbright commission for Malaysia and the United States to promote educational exchange between Malaysia and the United States. Though the focus lies in the Fulbright program, MACEE has, over the years, occupied an increasingly larger role in the overall binational educational partnership. Now, exceeding its role as simply the Fulbright commission, MACEE is Malaysians' sole, objective and authoritative link to U.S. education. Sistem Aduan Displin (SAD)
A service launched by the Ministry of Education, Malaysian in 2005. There are hotline, short message service (SMS) and complaint form for parents and students to complain about bullying in schools. Are you victim of bullying in school? Do you wish to complaint about bullying in school? Don't be afraid. Don't run. Don't be nervous. If you are stressed out or unsatisfied with your school, contact SAD. Report student disciplinary misconduct and any forms of bullying activities that you witness.
