Established in February 2003 to provide a platform of communication for the various interfaith organisations, initiatives and actions in Malaysia. Malaysian Interfaith Network (MNI) aimed at creating a more harmonious and peaceful society in multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysia. MNI is represented by different religious leaders including Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism, Sisters in Islam, International Islamic University, Council of Churches of Malaysia, Sri Sathya Sai Central Council of Malasia and the Bahai Faith. MNI structure is like an umbrella that links and embraces all those institutions and individuals working to protect, promote and support interfaith dialogues and understanding and joint action.
