Also known as the Sabah State Library in English. The first state library in Sabah was established in 1953 as a section of the Broadcasting and Information Department. In 1966, the library merged with the Sabah Museum to form the Libraries and Museum Department. The Library and Sabah Museum was separated and the Library Department was formed in 1972. The Library Department was renamed Sabah State Library in 1976. Sandakan Regional Library was officially opened on December 21, 1993. Tawau Regional Library was officially opened on February 16, 1994. Keningau Regional Library was officially opened on October 30, 1995. The Sabah State Library official website features resources (book review, new books, Lincoln Corner, news articles, educational packages), services (online services, reference, electronic corners, reading campaign, visually impaired) and about us (membership rules and regulation; regional, branch, village & mobile libraries, opening hours).

The main functions of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak are to provide timely, accurate, relevant and accessible information in different formats - the essential ingredients for the healthy economic and social development of a State and its citizens; to develop and contribute to relevant bibliographic databases, with particular reference to materials published within Sarawak; to develop itself as the hub of information services within Sarawak; to participate in National and International networks of libraries and information services; to provide an educational environment through programmes and exhibitions organised; to increase awareness of the importance and potential of information services; and to teach information and research skills. Formerly known as the Perbadanan Air Melaka (Malacca Water Corporation) prior to corporatisation of the Malacca State Water Authorities (SWA) on July 1, 2006. Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad handles the water supply for Malacca. Its responsibility includes the supply of the correct quantity of clean, safe and good quality water, cost-economic supply as well as efficient and friendly service. The company is under the State Government's concession under the Corporation Agreement and Enactment 2004. It is fully owned by the Chief Minister, Incorporated.
