Commenced on March 13, 2007. An initiative by the Malaysian Administrative, Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) to improve the service delivery system of Government agencies in Klang Valley. eKL project covers the area of Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Daerah Petaling, Klang, Gombak, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Sepang, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Nilai. The main objectives of eKL are: to promote a single identity of One Government Many Agencies where customers can obtain service without having to know which agency is responsible; No Wrong Door where a government agency is able to provide information or service of any other agency in a professional way; Interactive online service that transcends across agencies 24x365; and Exemplary and excellent government service delivery system. Commonly known as the Sibu Water Board (SWB) in English. Initially incorporated under Section 19 of the Water Supply Ordinance 1959 and re-incorporated under the Sibu Water Board Order 1959 when Section 19 of the Water Supply Ordinance 1959 was repealed. The main function of the Sibu Water Board is to have the custody, management and administration of water works and the water therein and the management of the supply and distribution of such water within its area of supply subject to the general control and supervision of the State Water Authority.
