Ministry of Housing and Local Government (MHLG)
Commonly known as the Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) in Malay term. Established on May 24, 1964 as the Ministry of Local Government and Housing. The Ministry was renamed the Ministry of Housing and Local Government on July 18, 1978, a result of merger between Ministry of Housing and Rural Development and the Department of Local Government. Main functions are provision of adequate housing for all citizens; planning and implementation of KPKT policies; setting up of local authorities; provision of efficient fire and rescue services; and strengthening and implementation of Town and Country Planning Act 1976. The Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia
Also known as the Lembaga Penilai, Penaksir & Agen Hartanah in Malay. Established in 1981 under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. The operation of the Board is governed by the provision of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Act 1981. Its primary function is to regulate the valuers, appraisers & estate agents practising in Malaysia. Complaint Against Housing Developer (MHLG)
Complaints againt housing developer under The Housing Development Act. The Ministry (MHLG) does not have jurisdiction over commercial property development, service condominium or apartments as well as shophouses and house built by state government agency. You can complaint about flaws in quality of work done, late or unavailability to obtain the Certificate of Fitness for Occupation-CFO (Sijil Layak Menduduki), delay in surrendering the house, compensation for delay in delivery, interest on payment, misappropriation of plans or sale and purchase agreement, services, cheating, collateral and ownership, infrastructure and breach of the Act or regulation.
