Also known as the Legal Affairs Division in English term. A Division under the Prime Minister's Department. Established on May 8, 1995 after the Ministry of Law and Justice was abolished. A Division under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department. Agencies under the BHEUU are Legal Aid Bureau (BBG) and Department of Insolvency Malaysia (JIM). The Department of Public Trustee & Official Administrator - JPAR&PP (corporatised on May 29, 1995 and known as Amanah Raya Berhad) and Federal Court Chief Registrar's Office - PKPMP (seperated from BHEUU on July 1, 1996) were agencies previously under BHEUU.

» e-Syariah Open e-Syariah in New Window
A service by the Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah Malaysia-JKSM (Department of Syariah Judiciary Malaysia). e-Syariah is the 7th project under the Electronic Government flagship application of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). A case management system that integrates the processes related to management of cases for the Syariah Courts. The main objectives of e-Syariah are to improve the quality services of the Syariah Courts; to improve the effectiveness of JKSM in coordinating and supervising related agencies under its jurisdiction; to improve the productivity and efficiency of the mangement of the Syariah Courts throughout Malaysia; and to uphold the splendours of Islam through the use of ICT. The e-Syariah official site features e-form, court procedures and processs, case type, Faraid calculation, Syariah criminal case registration, court case schedules, court directory and Syarie lawyer registration system.

Also known as the Mahkamah Persekutuan Malaysia in Malay term. The highest judicial authority and the final court of appeal in Malaysia. Altough federally ocnstituted, has a single-structured judicial system consisting of 2 parts - the superior courts (Court of Appeal, Federal Court and 2 High Courts - 1 for Peninsular Malaysia and 1 for Sabah and Sarawak) and the subordinate courts (Magistrate and Sessions Courts). Previously known as the Supreme Court from 1957 till 1963. When Malaysia was formed in 1963, it was renamed Federal Court and remained the 2nd highest court next below the Privy Council in London. The Council was abolished on January 1, 1985 and the court was renamed Supreme Court & designated the highest court. On June 24, 1994, it was renamed Federal Court. The official website features judiciary members, cause list & judgements (Federal Court & Court of Appeal), directories, legislations, circulars, courts (addresses, jurisdiction, judiciary, world courts) and FAQs.

An agency under the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia. Established in 1940. In 1967, the industrial Relations Act 1967 was enacted whereby compulsory arbitration was introduced. Any trade dispute which is not resolve through conciliation may be referred to the Industrial Court for arbitration. The court's functions include hearing and handling down decisions or awards in industrial disputes referred to it by the Minister or directly by the parties and granting cognisance to the collective agreements which have been jointly deposited by the employers or trade union of employers and trade union of employees. If you have a case pending at the Industrial Court, you can check the status online. Through the e-industrial court system, related parties and the general public can access information on hearing and mention dates, awards and status on individual cases online.
