Also known as the Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (PKS) in Malay term. The 5th polytechnic under the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Established in 1987 in line with the government's objective of producing trained workforce to fulfill the country's aspiration towards industrial needs and at par with the growth of the world globalisation. PKS offers certificate and diploma courses in civil engineering, land surveying, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, petrochemistry, mathematic, science and computer, accounting and business studies.

Also known as the Kolej Komuniti Ledang (KKLJ) in Malay term. Started operation on April 1, 2002. The main objective of the Community College is to provide quality education and training at all levels of society in order to equip them for a career and ultimately improves the socio-economic situation as a whole. KKLEJ offers diploma and certificate courses in automotive technology, hotel and catering, fashion and apparel design, electrical technology, computer technology, business accounting, air-conditioning and refrigeration and bakery and confectionary. It also offers short courses in language, personal development, leadership, computer literacy, baking, tailoring, cooking, landscape and motorcycle repair.

Also known as the Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia (AKM) in Malay term. Officially launched on November 2, 2007. Established under the Malaysian Qualifications Agency Act 2007, a result of merger between National Accreditation Board (Lembaga Akreditasi Negara-LAN) and Quality Assurance Division (QAD) of the Ministry of Higher Education. QAD was established in April, 2002 while LAN was established on July 8, 1996 through the National Accreditation Board Act 1996 (repealed in 2007) as a statutory body. MQA will implement the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF), a unified system and reference point for all national qualifications which would be a basis for quality assurance in higher education that matched with the international benchmark. The official site of MQA features list of accredited courses; equivalency of foreign academic qualification; Malaysia qualifications framework; and assessment, approval, minimum standards and accreditation.

» Mas Gading Community College (KKMG), Sarawak Open Mas Gading Community College (KKMG), Sarawak in New Window
Also known as the Kolej Komuniti Mas Gading (KKMG) in Malay term. KKMG's main objectives are to provide formal and non-formal education and training; conduct research addressing the local community's needs; provide counseling and support to the local community; and to improve socio-economic condition of local community. KKMG offers full-time certificate courses in landscape and nursery management and information technology. Courses will be taught with hands-on approach with 75:25 ratio of practice to theory. KKMG also offers short courses in English language and communication, computer literacy, baking, health, flower arrangement, entrepreneurship, landscape and Ferro cement.

The main objective of the KKMB is to provide quality education and training at all levels of society in order to equip them for a career and ultimately improves the socio-economic status as a whole. It offers full-time certificate courses in information technology, fashion and apparel design and building maintenance. KKMB also offers short courses in information technology, hospitality (tailoring, landscape, wiring, flower arrangement, baking, weaving and batiking) and general studies (German, Japanese and Mandarin language, communication, motivation).
