Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Malaysia (MOA)
Also known as Kementerian pertanian & Industri Asas Tani Malaysia. Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) was renamed Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries on March 27, 2004. The Ministry acts as one-stop agency for the private to get advice and expertise in agricultural sector and monitors and implements agricultural programmes. Departments under the Ministry are Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Services while agencies under the Ministry are Malaysia Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM), Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP), Bank Pertanian Malaysia (BPM), Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA), Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA) and Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board (MPIB).

AGROBANK Malaysia
Formerly known as the Bank Pertanian Malaysia (Agricultural Bank of Malaysia). Bank Pertanian Malaysia was renamed Agrobank Malaysia on April 1, 2008. Established on September 1, 1969. Agrobank is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Malaysia. The bank is responsible for organising, providing, supervising and coordinating credit facilities for agriculture in Malaysia. Agrobank Malaysia offers financing packages to develop the agricultural, livestock and fishery sectors in Malaysia. Department of Agriculture (DOA)
Also known as Jabatan Pertanian in Malay term. Established in 1905. The department's core businesses are to provide agricultural extension services towards production of high quality crops and safe for consumption and to regulate and enforce Agricultural Acts as to protect the nation's agriculture industry. DOA provides services in the agriculture fields such as horticulture, entomology, crop protection, soil management, agriculture engineering, seed technology, pesticide application, agriculture consultancy, remote sensing and facilitation of export and import of agriculture produce. Services are offered to all government agencies, private institution, farmer cooperatives, entrepreneurs, farmers and individuals interested in agriculture on commercial or small scale basis.
