PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone) News 
Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project was started out in 1993 with the objective of transforming Port Klang as the national load center and regional transhipment hub. The project was modeled after the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. In 2008, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was commissioned under the instructions of the Minister of Transport to review the PKFZ project amidst controversy surrounding its rising costs. A Position Review was released in May 2009 and outlined 20 issues for the attention of the Board of Directors. The objective of setting up PKFZ News are to update the public on news and development pertaining to PKFZ; explain the facts surrounding PKFZ from an official and professional standpoint; engage the public and respond to their questions with regards to PKFZ issue; and to facilitate public feedback and suggestions. The PKFZ News website features Official Updates, Official Responses, From the News and Blogs, Forum, Links and About PKFZ.
