Franchise Development Program 
Program Pembangunan Francais (PPF) was established in 1992 under the Implementation and Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department. A government strategy to develop the Bumiputera Community Trade and Industry Scheme (Masyarakat Perdagangan dan Perindustrian Bumiputera MPPB). Currently under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development, Malaysia.

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA)
Also known as the Council of Trust for the Bumiputera in English term. An agency under the MECD, established as a statutory body on March 1, 1966 by an Act of Parliament by resolution of the first Bumiputera Economic Congress, 1965. Establishment of MARA is to replace RIDA to remedy the socio economic imbalance of bumiputera in commercial and industrial sectors. The main objective of MARA is to motivate, guide, train and assist bumiputeras to participate actively and progressively in both commercial and industrial enterprises, towards creating a strong and viable business community (BCIC).

Ministry of Entrepreneur & Cooperative Development (MECD)
Also known as the Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi (KPUK) in Malay term. MECD was established in 2004. History of MECD dates back to 1974 with the establishment of KPPA, which was later renamed Kementerian Perusahaan Awam (KPA) or Ministry of Public Enterprises (MPE). MECD is the main agency responsible for coordinating the development of bumiputera entrepreneurs. It also provides entrepreneurial training and development programmes to bumiputera entrepreneurs. Agencies under the ministry includes SME Bank, TEKUN, MARA, UHB, BPMB, PNS, Bank Rakyat, JPK, MKM, PKEN. In April, 2009, MECD was abolished and the functions and agencies of MECD will be absorbed into eight ministries mainly, the Ministry of Domestic, Trade and Consumer Affairs.
