Yes, Agensi Perkerjaan X&X (Maid Agency X&X) IS A DISHONEST MAID AGENCY. Please avoid this Maid Agency.

When I approach this company to get a new maid, we were given some biodatas to choose from. At that time, there were another customer who is making a big noise because he did not get a maid as promised. We ask the sales personnel what is the big fuss, she replied that the maid that the person applied are not able to come and he rejected alternative maid biodatas.

We then proceed to pay the deposit for the maid that we have chosen. WHAT A WRONG DECISION IT WAS!!! We were promised that the maid will arrive in 3 months (max). They mentioned that there are no cases that the maid will come beyond 3 months.

WHAT A LIE BY AGENSI PEKERJAAN X&X!

After 3 months, we enquiry about the maid and we were told the maid that we chosen is not available. When we asked for alternative biodatas, we were told that there were no biodatas for us to choose. They ask us to apply for refund. The sales personnel promised us full refund, which is RM 2,500-00.

When we get the refund (after about 1.5 months), we only get RM 2,200-00. They said they deduct RM 300.00 for administration fee to submit the application to the government. When I ask for their proof of submission, they finally said that they did not submit it. WHAT A SHAME!

Agensi Perkerjaan X&X cheats people of the administration fee by doing nothing! Now I understand why the customer earlier is very upset.

IN MALAYSIA, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH CONSUMER PROTECTION AND MAID AGENCY ARE MAKING MONEY THROUGH THESE NEW LAWS LOOPHOLE!

We expect maid agency to be honest in their dealing.

I think you should read the agreement 1st before making complain. If the agreement didn't say so, of course you can said cheated but I think now. Be a good consumer should understand that and not just make complain without any reason. If deduct only RM300 will not make them rich, if they forfeit all then you can say you been cheated.

I know it hard to accept by some one but pls be understood, when paid the deposit something of course been done although not complete. For example like buying a car, if you paid deposit for booking are you will get fully refund ? IF NOT, ARE YOU WILL SAID THAT YOU BEEN CHEATED !!!

Please be a good consumer ... READ THE AGREEMENT 1ST !!!

Thanks.

I think you should stop giving any comment if you didn't read the statement properly written by the angry victim.

Please open your eyes widely, think carefully and read carefully before giving people any likely "wise" comment. The problem now is the agency itself couldn't give any proof of submission to the victim. You read that? They admit they did not submit the application. Then? Where was the RM300? If you think the maid agency is not to be considered as cheating, then? What do you think?
Please, if you want to give opinion next time, READ THE STATEMENT PROPERLY!

Thanks.

When you seek to exploit others to do those chores you should be doing with your wife and children, you will meet your Karma. You too will be exploited. Why do you complain? Why not state here openly for all to see what conditions you were ready to offer this hapless 'slave' the agency was offering to you for you to further exploit?

Perhaps you may have planned to let your wife pour boiling water all over her like the famous Chinese Malaysian air lines hostess did to a poor Indonesian girl?

I am one of the victim of similar case. This happened with Agensi Pekerjaan XXX in Jalan Tun Razak, KL. I was waiting for my maid for about 10 months since October 2010. They kept telling me that they were processing it, that the delay was due to the passport issuance, etc. After I was tired of waiting, I cancelled the maid about 3 months ago. Until now I still can't get back my deposit of RM 500 despite numerous calls and on the last call the agent staff told me that they will deduct RM 200 if they refund me later. The staff also admit that those who booked the maid earlier than me have gotten their maid. I think the whole scenario was because I booked the maid with the lower fee at that point of time and the fees increased quite a lot after that due to shortage of Cambodian maids. I think they might have given my maid to someone else who paid higher fee, that explained why I waited for so long and still can't get it. They still dare to charge me RM 300 for their own fault! I would urge everyone to avoid this agency. Help spread the message to save others from being cheated like me.

Don’t every take maids from this thuggish agent – Agensi Pekerjaan XXX. Supplied me with an incompetent maid from day 1 with mental health issue & severe absent-mindedness with no prior housemaid experience at all, contrary to maid’s biodata – clearly a misrepresentation. Before my tribunal hearing, received anonymous threatening calls from strangers & upon court award, the lady boss threatened to quash the award by bringing to the high court. A real thug!

Simple solutions to your problems.
1. Use daycare services
2. Use hourly paid for yr household chores.

You are lucky to get your deposit back. If they are forced to supply you one, and you get a mentally unhealthy one, you habis..

A maid working with you for the past 1 year can be very normal and hardworking, then something happened back in the country. Her child got sick and pass away or her husband ran away with another woman and sent her a divorce petition to sign.. see what is going to happen to your family. She may commit suicide bringing one and some or all together with her...

I had a maid before. She worked loyally for me for 4 years, looking after my only son since birth. She had a child back in her kampung. She work 365 days without leave not that i don't give her. She adores my son very very much.. When her contract ended, I bought air ticket for her to return. Then my neighbor overheard their maid and my maid discus on how to balik kampung using illegal "ship".. Immediately 10 days before her return home, I had to sent my son to grandparents house for safety..

Think and weigh the pro and cons of having a maid..

Dear all,

This is for public awareness so others do not fall victim to unscrupulous maid agencies & the challenges involving non-compliance of court awards.

Agensi Pekerjaan XXX (Penang HQ with branches in Malaysia) has committed criminal offense of not abiding in MORE THAN ONE award handed down by the Tribunal Court.

I had my court hearing with XXX on 4th September 2014. Thanks to social media, I came to know of a lady in the same dilemma as me. In both hearings, the judge has awarded us monetary refund due to misrepresentation & incompetent maids who ran away just weeks into their employment.

XXX has not only defied the 14 days deadline to pay the award but has ignored appointments fixed by the Ministry of Trade & Consumerism enforcement officers to investigate their non-compliance. This has been dragging on in the past 6 months.

We are at our wits end. To date, we have served XXX through our lawyer the Notice 218 which gives them a 21 days deadline. They blatantly ignored this too!!

I just want JUSTICE! Any advise or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

We are at our wits end.
Why? You should know that winning the case is the easy part, getting paid after winning is the hard part.

To date, we have served XXX through our lawyer the Notice 218 which gives them a 21 days deadline. They blatantly ignored this too!!
Before you serve any threatening letters you should already know what will be your next step if there is no response from them

You made a bluff threat and they called your bluff by ignoring the letter. It turns out they were right! It was just empty threats.

Not only were cheated by XXX, you were cheated by your own lawyer too, who gave you wrong advice on the effectiveness of Notice 218 and charged you a bomb.

Dunno why after so many years people are still conned by maid agencies.

For the benefit of all, read carefully the following..
1. The maid you get directly from their country is real and legal after paying all the fees.
2. The legal maid will lari.. and being recycled for new customers.
3. The replacement maid can be likely to be "kosong" i.e. illegal. But you have already paid for all the "fees".
4. Most run-away maids are intelligent ones, feigning illness esp mental ones plus homesick.
5. Have you been to Indonesia? Esp central Java where most of maids come from? Make no mistake, most of them are as educated nearly equal to that of most average Malaysians. Ever notice all of them knows how to use h/p and can call home the moment they started work in your house? Kita sini yang betul katak di bawah tempurung.. They are not as backward as we see them to be 20 years ago esp those domestic workers.

To protect your own interests, report to Immigration direct whether there is a replacement given or not. No face or quarters given to the maid agency. Failing to do only encouraging more Malaysians to become future victims. You will be fined by Immigration for losing your maid but it is worth it. If you did not report the maid you have brought in direct (under you name) and if the runaway maid in involved in vice, drugs or die under mysterious conditions, the fines is not only much higher but you could be involved in the court cases. You MAY have to bear the costs of sending the corpse back to their country. For faraway countries, 10K++ per coffin... Watch out.!!

It is more advisable to get maid from far away countries whereby they cannot just "swim" home. The recent Newspaper reports on "holes" at border fences is very, very accurate and true. The ocean is so vast, how to stop illegal entry and exits? Be fair to the relevant security depts too..

Just get the services of part-time maids to do the menial housework.

The work permits the replacement maids holds.. you can verify if they are real? Even Immigration officers cannot "see" if they are real or not. That is why normally during the raids, they just tarik everybody back to the "camps" to scan thru the work permits.

Very simple.. for replacement maids, just pull a fast one, tell you are bringing them to Immigration Detention Centre to verify their work permits. Those who knew that they are false, will kneel down and beg tuan/puan for forgiveness. However, be on the alert that some maids were issued false permits without them knowing it, they being victims too.!
